简介：《Silent All These Years》 原唱是Tori Amos，1963年8月22日Tori Amos出生在美国北卡罗来纳州牛顿镇，一个牧师家庭，一个原名叫Myra Ellen Amos的小女孩。一岁时即随家人迁居马里南州，三岁时便显露钢琴天赋，四岁能写乐谱，六岁成为享有盛名的Peabody音乐学院有史以来最年轻的学生。

这个很莫扎特的女孩，因为不服从音乐学院的课程安排，11岁时对古典音乐逐渐失去兴趣，开始疯狂迷恋Led Zeppelin，于是退学。13岁在当地一次比赛中因弹奏了自己创作的曲子获得一等奖。她发现了摇滚乐的自由，于是，开始写歌，并在当地的一些夜总会中表演。

这一时期，Amos开始大量创作属于自己的歌曲。1984年注定是不平凡的一年，那一年21岁的不幸女孩在罗杉矶的某一夜，经历了人生最可怕的梦魇。搭便车的女孩竟然遭到乐迷的强暴，事后还遭受死亡威胁。这无疑是对纯洁天使的最可怕的打击，同时也是最具有深远影响的事件，这影响后来使她变得超乎想象地勇敢和坚强。

91年冬天她的处女大碟发行，90年代是她事业的黄金年代。但我从那时起就怀疑这个世界上没有真正的乐迷，只有偷拍强暴甚至枪杀这些暴力匪徒类。他们并不缺少器官，并不缺少感官，只是缺少控制这些肮脏部件的某根清醒的脑筋罢了。
